How do I recover my password?

Step 1: take a deep breath

If you set up your three security questions correctly when creating an account on Oxis and wrote them down in a safe place: Everything is fine! You will be able to recover your password and gain access to your funds.

Step 2: Access the recovery option

On the login screen you will find the option to recover your password. It's just below the registry for new users.When you click, you will be redirected to https://app.oxis.com/recover-password


Once there, enter the email you used to register in Oxis.Once you enter a valid address, check your email inbox.

You will receive an email with a recovery link. Verify that the sender is support@oxis.com and it is not a fake email.When you click on the link it will open a new tab.

Step 3: Your Security Answers

The time has come to use the security responses that you configured when opening your Oxis account.

The security responses are what differentiate us from other wallets. The security answers are the only access to your password , and, in turn, the password is the only one that allows you to access your private key .

Therefore, it is important that you do not lose your security answers or share them with anyone.

On the recovery screen, enter your three security answers. Write the answers exactly as you entered them when creating the account. And don't worry, the system is not case-sensitive.Now, choose a new password

It must be different from the previous one and with at least eight characters between letters (uppercase and lowercase), numbers and punctuation marks. Make sure you don't use this password from another website or account! This password should be unique, difficult, and contain a combination of numbers, symbols, and letters. Also, write your password down in a safe place so you don't lose it again. You can use a secure password manager like Lastpass or 1password to store it.

Step 4: Login to your account

If you have followed the steps correctly, then a message at the top right of the screen will indicate that everything is fine and that you can now log in with your new password.

How do I change my password?

If you still have your password, but for some reason you want to change it, then click on the "change password" option found in the profile-> security section.

If you have two-factor verification activated

If at the time of adjusting the security of your account you activated the verification of two factors (2FA), then to change your password you must provide the code that you will receive in your application.

Enter your current password and in the following fields add a new password, verifying that it has been entered correctly.Enter the code that you will see in your application as quickly as possible, because it expires after one minute. Click on "change password"

Once you have completed this action, your new password will be ready .

If you didn't turn on two-factor verification

If you do not have a two-factor verification application, then when you change your password you must provide the code that you will receive in your email.

Enter your current password and in the following fields add a new password, and make sure it has been entered correctly.

Click on "change password" and on the next screen the system will ask you to enter a code that has been sent to your email.Enter the verification code found in your email inbox. You will not be able to copy or paste the text and be careful with capital letters.

After this step you will have a new password!
